1st Day: Arrival
Arrival in Yerevan, meeting at the airport, transfer to the hotel.
Leisure time.
2nd Day: City tour
Breakfast at hotel. Yerevan… rose-colored capital even during winter time…. most of its buildings is garnished with a pink shade of “tuf” stone which is quarried in Armenia. This is one very prominent feature of Yerevan being referred to as “Pink Yerevan…”. Let’s start by getting acquainted with the city of Yerevan by walking through the history of Armenia in the Erebouni museum and Fortress which was founded in 782 B.C., 29 years before Rome, the “Eternal City”, was built. We continue our day with a visit to Tsitsernakaberd memorial and museum to the 1915 Genocide, one of the most impressive monuments in Yerevan
3rd Day: Garni-Geghard
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast You will have a trip to the historical places of Armenia – Garni and Geghard. Garni is considered a unique temple preserved since the pagan time in Armenia. On the back way you will have a delicious lunch and lavash (Armenian traditional bread) baking class in the “Aya Maria” Resort. You can take part in the lavash baking process and then taste it. Return to Yerevan.
4th Day: Tsakhkadzor-Sevan
Breakfast at hotel. Trip to Tsakhkadzor – “Valley of Flowers”. You will spend three unforgettable days in the relaxing Wintery Wonderland in the town of Tsaghkadzor. Tsaghkadzor is surrounded by forests on the eastern slope of Mt. Tsaghkuniats. Located in one of the most beautiful areas of the country, the town is famous for its numerous resorts. Its once pristine hunting grounds for the rulers of Armenia are now important for its modern touristic areas, ski runs and winter rest with a number of rest houses, hotels, motels and camps. Then driving to lakeSevan which is most beautiful in winter. Return to Yerevan.
5th Day : Free day.
6th Day: Khor virab – Noy brandy factory
Breakfast at hotel. Khor Virap Monastery – nestled in the valley is this Monastery where the beginning of the History of the Christian nation in Armenia, magnificently set against the towering slopes of the Biblical Mountain of Ararat. It is the site where St. Gregory the Illuminator was incarcerated and is a pilgrimage destination for all believers. It is especially a time to reflect upon the work of our Church’s patron saint, Gregory the Illuminator, who spread the light of Christ in Armenia and inspired King Trdat to proclaim Christianity as state religion in 301, which has had a determinate impact on the Armenian people and their history.
“NOY” ARARAT Brandy, Wine Factory: “…one does not drink brandy, one derives pleasure from it.” Just let’s do it in one of the oldies factories in “NOY” Yerevan Brandy factory.
7th Day: Echmiadzin - Treasury Museum of Echmiadzin-Shopping
Breakfast at hotel.Tour to Echmiadzin the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the residence of the Catholicos of all Armenians.Participation in the Easter liturgy. The Treasury Museum of Echmiadzin where remain Spear of Longinus (The Holy Lance), a piece of Noah’s Ark.
8th Day: Departure
Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to the airport. Departure home.
