1. Application and contact

These terms govern use of the Travel House Botswana website and requests made through its trip planner. “Travel House”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the travel business presenting this website. “You” includes the person requesting a quote and, where authorised, the travellers on whose behalf that person acts.

Our business contact address is Block 3, Gaborone, Botswana. For enquiries, booking documents or clarification of the contracting business, contact info@travelhousebw.co or +267 75595555. The written quotation and booking documents will identify the business contracting with you. These website terms do not replace those documents or any rights provided by law.

2. Enquiries, quotations and confirmation

The website presents travel ideas and proposed itineraries. “Quote required” means no selling price, room, flight, tour, permit or transfer has been secured through the website. Submitting a request, preparing a WhatsApp message or receiving an acknowledgement does not create a reservation or guarantee availability.

Before you commit, we will provide a written quotation identifying the services offered, total price, payment currency, applicable taxes and fees, payment deadlines, quotation validity, cancellation provisions and relevant supplier conditions. A booking is confirmed only when we issue written confirmation after the required payment and supplier acceptance. A payment receipt alone does not establish that every requested service is confirmed.

3. Prices, currencies and payment

Currency conversion on this website is an indicative tool for your planning budget and any displayed package guide price. Displayed guide prices apply only to the stated travel window and booking deadline, exclude Travel House fees, margin and unquoted extras, and do not guarantee availability. This is not a foreign-exchange dealing service, payment facility or binding package quotation. Your bank or payment provider may use a different exchange rate or apply charges.

The final quote will specify the agreed price and payment currency and, where applicable, the amount payable in Botswana pula. We will disclose service fees and known mandatory charges before you accept. We will explain any lawful price adjustment mechanism before agreement; these terms do not permit undisclosed fees or arbitrary changes to a confirmed price.

The website does not collect card details or take payment. Use only payment instructions verified directly with Travel House through an established contact channel.

4. Inclusions and accommodation

Only services expressly included in the accepted written quotation form part of your arrangements. Land-only itineraries exclude international flights unless the quotation expressly says otherwise. Domestic flights, airport transfers, seaplanes, boats, guides, meals, entrance fees, permits, local taxes and resort charges must each be checked against the quote.

Photographs illustrate destinations or accommodation styles and may not show your booked property or room. Star categories follow the classification applicable to the selected property. Terms such as “luxury” describe a proposed style and do not create an official 7-star rating. A sea-view room, sea-facing villa and property with direct beach access are different categories; any required beachfront location must be expressly confirmed.

Suggested activities may be shortened or changed to fit a 3-, 4- or 5-night stay. Wildlife sightings, weather conditions and natural phenomena cannot be guaranteed. Seaplane and boat services depend on the destination, property, operating conditions and confirmed schedules.

5. Your information and travel requirements

Provide accurate traveller names, dates, contact information and requirements. Review quotations, confirmations and tickets promptly and tell us about discrepancies. If you arrange travel for another person, ensure you have authority to do so and share the relevant terms and privacy information with that person.

Tell us before booking about accessibility requirements or other arrangements that may affect the suitability of a trip. Do not put passport copies, payment details or medical records into the website enquiry field. Where such information is necessary, ask us for an appropriate method of providing it.

Passport validity, visas, transit rules, permissions and destination entry requirements depend on the traveller and route. We will explain the assistance included in your quote. Decisions by immigration or other authorities remain outside our control. We recommend travel insurance appropriate to the itinerary; insurance is not included unless expressly stated.

6. Changes, cancellations and refunds

Ask for changes or cancellation through the contact details on your booking documents. A request is not effective merely because a message has been drafted; obtain our acknowledgement. The applicable deadlines and any hotel, airline, tour operator or Travel House charges will be set out before you book.

Refund eligibility depends on the accepted booking conditions, the reason for cancellation and applicable law. There is no blanket “no refunds” rule under these website terms. We will explain any deductions and the expected processing time. If repayment depends on a supplier, we will give you relevant updates; that does not remove any direct refund duty imposed on us by law.

If a provider changes or cannot supply a confirmed service, we will communicate the available options and any remedies due. Do not accept a material substitution without understanding its effect on your arrangements and price.

7. Our role and responsibility

Depending on the service, Travel House may arrange travel as an agent for a named provider or supply an agreed service in its own capacity. The quote and booking documents should identify the relevant role and provider before payment. Supplier conditions apply only where disclosed and lawfully incorporated into your booking.

We remain responsible for our own services and for any duties that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or any liability, remedy or consumer protection that applicable law does not allow us to limit. A supplier’s involvement does not by itself remove those obligations.

Disruption caused by weather, operational restrictions or events beyond reasonable control will be addressed according to the booking conditions and applicable law. Such events do not automatically extinguish refund or other rights.

8. Use of the website and intellectual property

Use the website for genuine travel planning and lawful enquiries. Do not submit unlawful content, impersonate another person, interfere with security, introduce malicious code or use automated extraction that disrupts the service or infringes rights.

Travel House branding and original website content belong to their respective rights holders. Photographs and third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. You may use the site for personal travel planning; commercial reproduction requires permission. Statutory exceptions remain unaffected.

We take reasonable care with website information but may correct errors or remove outdated itinerary ideas. If an error affects an existing quote or booking, we will address it directly rather than treating a website change as a unilateral amendment to your contract.

9. Complaints, applicable law and changes

Send a complaint to info@travelhousebw.co, including your booking reference and the resolution sought. Raise an urgent in-trip problem with the local provider and Travel House as soon as reasonably possible so that it can be addressed. This does not impose an unfair condition on exercising a legal remedy.

These website terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings elsewhere that apply to you. Nothing requires confidential arbitration or prevents a complaint to a competent consumer or data-protection authority.

We may update these website terms prospectively. The version and booking conditions agreed for a confirmed booking will continue to apply unless a lawful change is agreed or required. The effective date appears on this page.
